Summary
WITH an estimated street value of pounds 4.5m, the Dover seizure is one of the biggest single hauls of heroin in the UK in recent years and certainly the biggest in the last year.
The HMRC's last couple of performance statements show from June 2006 to June 2007 they seized 527kg of heroin in 60 separate operations. Between June 2007 and June this year there were 68 seizures which netted 720kg of heroin.See the full content of this document
