A FLINTSHIRE County Council sheltered housing scheme is to be demolished to make way for a showpiece housing complex for the elderly. The authority says that Jasmine Crescent, in Clayton Road, Mold, is uneconomic to maintain and cannot be brought up to an acceptable condition for residents.

It houses 20 bedsits, 10 one-bedroom flats, nine one-bedroom bungalows and a three-bedroom warden's bungalow.
