GIRLS aged 14 to 18 will be offered a vaccine against a sexually- transmitted disease that causes cervical cancer from September, it was announced today.

The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination programme is being stepped up in Wales after the success of the first round which began vaccinating about 20,000 girls aged 12 to 13 last autumn.
