THE leader of Britain's biggest rail union yesterday urged Assembly members to back plans for new direct train links from Wrexham to London.

General secretary of the Rail Maritime and Transport union (RMT) Bob Crow said the proposed Wrexham-Mar ylebone service would bring major benefits to the economy.
