WAS turning into a cynical, old goat prior to the birth of my daughter, Ava. I had become a product of my age and culture.

Growing up throughout Thatcher's 80s, I suppose that it was inevitable that the me, me, me mindset would scar me in some way. Those hateful images of the miners' strike, and the seemingly imminent threat of nuclear apocalypse did much to destroy the myths that my teenage life had been built around.
