INTERIOR designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen gets a look behind the scenes at Welsh homes that aren't normally open to the public, in his latest series for BBC Wales. In Hidden Houses he visits the Flintshire home of ex-brickie turned building magnate David McLean, along with a couple living the good life on the Llyn peninsula, and an ancestral mansion near Wrexham that's now a dream wedding venue, plus a Georgian mansion built with the proceeds of a lighthouse.

"These houses are being brought up to date, with their owners seeking to re-incarnate them," says Laurence, who made his TV name with shows such as Changing Rooms.
