STUDENTS yesterday criticised a pounds 300,000-a-year handout for higher education through the medium of Welsh as 'pitiful.'
The Assembly on Monday confirmed a pounds 1m package of measures aimed at further supporting the development of Welsh medium provision in higher education. Minister for education and lifelong learning Jane Davidson said: 'Our vision, set out in Iaith Pawb, of a truly bilingual Wales is a bold one.
