WITH the clocks springing forward, teams are catching up on winter cancellations with midweek matches.

West Kirby took full advantage, thrashing Southport Trinity 4-0 at their Marine Park home, while Helsby took apart bottom-placed Blacon YC 5-0. Cammell Laird Reserves earned a 3-2 home win over Marshalls and Ellesmere Port continued their recent improvement in fortune by beating Christleton 2-0. In Division Two, Mossley Hill Athletic took a promotion blow, losing by the odd goal in three at Hale's Hale Farm ground. Ashville continued their imperious reign at the top of the pile, this time winning 3-0 at Heswall Reserves.
