FEARS that Rhyl's first-choice keeper Paul Whitfield could be out for the season after being stretchered off with a suspected broken ankle in Wednesday night's 3-0 North Wales Coast Challenge Cup win over Colwyn Bay have been allayed.

The keeper has been told there is no fracture, only severe bruising, but he still misses tomorrow's big game at leaders TNS.
