THE theatre isn't automatically where Peter Capaldi feels drawn. "Many parts I've had in theatre have not frankly been terribly interesting," he admits. "But this was right up my street. Sometimes you find something that's instinctively where you belong."

The 'this' in question is The Ladykillers, Graham Linehan's new adaptation of the Ealing Studios' classic which gets its world premiere at Liverpool Playhouse next month ahead of a London run.
