THOUSANDS of council workers will stage a two-day strike from today in a row over the suspension of union activists, threatening disruption to libraries, rubbish collection and other services.
Members of Unison at Sefton Borough Council will walk out in protest at disciplinary action against six union members who took part in a demonstration against council tenants transferring to housing association properties.
