NO doubt the 80,000 public sector workers in Wales will lose one day's pay for their strike action last week. According to local government adverts in your paper and others, the average salary offered is pounds 15,000pa, this is a conservative estimate and is probably too low, so when one considers that these workers work a five day week, ie, 261 working days a year incuding paid holidays, the average daily pay is pounds 57.

So the unions, which encourage this strike, will make up the one day's less pay will they?
